SIOBHAN WINOGRAD
FOR VILLAGE COUNCIL
PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am running for Ridgewood Village Council to be an engaged and independent voice for the residents of this great village.
Like so many of you, I want our community to move forward on vital issues that have lingered for too long, such as the pedestrian plaza program, our maintenance and shortage of parks and fields, the Schedler property, improvements to Franklin Avenue (including the abandoned Town Garage site), our lack of transparency about the Village budget, and our antiquated approach to communications in general. I want an end to the divisiveness that has undermined necessary, resident-endorsed projects in our village and led to unnecessary spending that does not benefit the majority of our citizenry.
My proven track record of initiative, collaboration, and accomplishment in our village’s civic arena, along with my years of active citizen participation in local governance, have prepared me to hit the ground running.
Ridgewood is a smart, thoughtful, and vibrant community. I was born and raised here (as was my mother), and my husband and I moved back to raise our children here. I want what is best for Ridgewood and will always put the interests of this community first.
Vote for me — Siobhan Winograd — an independent voice for Ridgewood.
On November 8th, there is an important election for two open seats on the Ridgewood Village Council. I am running for one of those seats. Since launching my campaign Winograd2022.com, I have been overwhelmed by the love people have for Ridgewood and the positive response to my campaign. Please help me to help Ridgewood continue to grow as a great town by voting Winograd for Council (row two on the ballot).
I am running a grassroots campaign so I am also hoping that you will take the time to forward this message and share my information with friends and neighbors.
Thank you!
Siobhan
